Crookhall openers stand and deliver.


While the weather caused many problems, the only trouble for Whickham was the two Crookhall openers.

Graham Bowman led the way before falling just two runs short of a half-century as Whickham made 120-4.

Elsewhere, Blaydon maintained their unbeaten record with a derby win against Swalwell.

It was always going to be an uphill task for Swalwell after they only managed 53-6. Blaydon, however, did lose three wickets before claiming maximum points.

Lanchester were well beaten against Greenside green·side

Tynemouth maintained their good start to the season at under-15 level with an eight-wicket victory over Ashington.
