Robert B. Weiner, 52, is appointed executive vice president, Supply Chain Operations, effective Nov. 22. Incumbent Syl Turicchi will retire following a transition period. Since 2001, Weiner has served as executive vice president of Exide Technologies, where he was responsible for manufacturing; quality; procurement; logistics; and environmental, health and safety across their global network. His career includes seven years in executive operations positions at United Technology Corporation's Pratt & Whitney division and 16 years of manufacturing and quality control experience at General Electric Company.

John A. Lacadie, Ph.D., 58, has been appointed to the newly created position of vice president and chief technology officer, effective Nov. 1. He joined the company in 1976 as a research scientist and has held increasingly responsible positions over the last 28 years, serving since 2000 as vice president, technology for Crompton's Crop Protection business. Lacadie's broad research has resulted in two patents and more than a dozen publications. He is chairman of the Strategic Oversight Council for CropLife America and is a Six Sigma Not to be confused with Sigma 6.
