I went to a heart specialist for this problem and he prescribed another drug. This time I researched the drug and found it keeps you going for about 10 years. However after taking this drug for about 10 years it may slow the muscles (including the heart) to the point where they have completely deteriorated. I now take oil of peppermint peppermint: see mint. peppermint Strongly aromatic perennial herb (Mentha piperita, mint family), source of a widely used flavouring. Native to Europe and Asia, it has been naturalized in North America. and ginger root for my Crohn's disease and those keep it under control. I take an herbal combination called "Heart Support" from Vitamin Shoppe, which keeps my heartbeat regular.
