Crofts, Haight Named Executive Vice Presidents at 101communications.

Two industry veterans in the business-to-business information technology sector have been promoted to executive vice presidents responsible for all of the operating units of 101communications.

Steven Crofts, formerly Senior Vice President Conferences and Europe, and Gordon Haight, General Manager of Core IT Group, have assumed new, expanded responsibilities as Executive Vice Presidents of the company.

Crofts oversees The Data Warehousing Institute, E-Gov, Federal Computer Week events, the U.S. Conference Group, all European operations, including Application Development Advisor, JavaSPEKTRUM and OBJEKTspektrum, Recharger Magazine and Conference and the Syllabus Conference.

Haight is responsible for Federal Computer Week, Syllabus and the Core IT publications -- Microsoft Certified Professional Magazine, Application Development Trends and Enterprise Systems -- as well as all of the associated web and e-products.

Crofts joined 101communications in December 1999 when he closed the sale of his company, The Data Warehousing Institute (TDWI), to 101. Under his direction, TDWI grew to the premier source of educational conferences, publications and research in the rapidly growing data warehousing marketplace. Crofts also has worked as a marketing consultant, technology magazine publisher and in various executive marketing positions within the software industry.

Haight has more than 30 years of experience in publishing, advertising and marketing, including seven years as President and CEO of Integrated Media Inc., a subsidiary of International Data Group, where he was responsible for IMI's publications, internet sites, international licensing and trade shows. In addition, he has been involved in the launch and management of several companies, including Firewall Studios, Inc., an internet marketing company and several targeted business publications.
