MANCHESTER, N.H.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 21, 2001

Microsoft Certified Solution Provider CriticalSites today announced the appointment of its Chief Technology Officer, Patrick Hynds, as Microsoft Regional Director for Boston. In his new role, Patrick will help Microsoft educate the growing community of developers in the New England New England, name applied to the region comprising six states of the NE United States—Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. The region is thought to have been so named by Capt.  region on new Microsoft initiatives and technology.

Microsoft Regional Directors are computer industry professionals who partner with Microsoft in general, and the Developer Division in particular, to work with developer communities around Microsoft technologies, tools, and products. There are 130 global Regional Directors in over 50 countries who act as volunteer sounding boards between their communities and Microsoft. Regional Directors are not employed by Microsoft and receive no formal compensation for their activities. The program has been in place for seven years.
