Critical Telecom Appoints Nancy Macartney as President and CEO; Industry Veteran to Lead Company Through Next Phase of Growth.

OTTAWA -- Critical Telecom Corp., developer of broadband enabling platforms for New Generation Access Networks, today announced that Nancy Macartney has been appointed President and CEO. In her new position, Nancy will also serve on the company's board of directors.

"Nancy's business acumen and leadership skills, coupled with her worldwide experience in business operations will help Critical Telecom to further develop its strategic partnerships, broadening its customer base and expanding its presence into new markets and geographies."

Building upon the market momentum attained from the successful launch of GEmini(TM) Ethernet Remote DSLAM, Macartney, in her new role as CEO, will focus on scaling the company's resources to meet the global demand for New Generation Consumer Broadband Networks.

Nancy has over 25 years of global experience in the telecommunications industry serving in numerous senior positions with CIENA, Akara Corporation and Newbridge Networks. Prior to Critical Telecom, Nancy was the Vice President, Supply Chain Management for CIENA, during which time she was responsible for the Operations integration of Akara Corporation into CIENA. Most recently Nancy was the Vice President of Operations within Critical Telecom.
