Critical Path, Inc. (Nasdaq:CPTH), a global leader in communication technology and integrated messaging solutions, serving carriers, service providers and corporations worldwide, today announced the appointment of Edgard Gassino as vice president and managing director for Critical Path EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) Refers to that region of the world. Gassino, a software industry veteran with more than 25 years experience, will be responsible for all sales and services in the region. He will report to Critical Path's recently appointed President, Pierre Van Beneden.

"Edgard Gassino brings a solid record of greatly improving Lotus' EMEA revenues and growing Oracle's sales throughout Europe.
