Cristobal Resources Inc.: Excellent Results on Luminara Property (Peru).MONTREAL--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 10, 1997--(ME CTV.) CRISTOBAL RESOURCES INC. is pleased to announce another gold discovery on its LUMINARIA lu·mi·nar·i·a n. 1. The exposed part of the mineralized zone is 700 meter-long by 50 to 150 meter-wide, and has a minimum thickness of 18 meters. Four (4) trenches were dug perpendicularly to the length of the zone where two meter-long channel samples were collected from the trench. Their gold content was determined by fire assay at the SGS laboratory in Lima, Peru, and returned the following values: -0- TRENCH Au g/t LENGTH LUT-97-01 4.80 38 meters LUT-97-01A 4.98 50 " LUT-97-02 1.47 12 " LUT-97-07 3.05 18 " The mineralization Mineralization The process by which the body uses minerals to build bone structure. In these deposits, high-grade veins merge into disseminated gold at their upper part. The important argilitic alteration had weakened the diorite, which is one of the causes for the landslide that affected the above-mentioned gold mineralized zone. Cristobal is planning a second phase of trenching and channel sampling works to assess the extent of the mineralized zone. Drilling works will follow in order to evaluate the thickness of this new zone. CONTACT: Cristobal Resources Inc.
