Fairy tales may be written or told for the amusement of children or may have a more sophisticated narrative containing supernatural or obviously improbable events, scenes, and personages : A straight couple, Regnier (The Dreamlife of Angels) and Renier, commit a murder and head into the woods, where they fall prey to a menacing hunter with sexual designs on the boy. Water Drops, based on an early play by late gay filmmaker Rainer Werner Fassbinder, is about a young student (Zidi) who moves in with an elder businessman (Giraudeau).
