Crimewatch appeal to find Melanie Hall's killer.


Summary: A Crimewatch appeal is to be broadcast in the hunt for the killer of Melanie Hall, whose remains were found by a motorway.

 Crimewatch will bring fresh leads in the hunt for the killer of Melanie Hall, whose remains were found by a motorway 13 years after her disappearance.

Miss Hall, who was 25, went missing after a night out at a nightclub in Bath on June 9 1996.

The programme will speak to detectives along with Miss Hall's parents Steve and Pat about their 13-year ordeal ordeal, ancient legal custom whereby an accused person was required to perform a test, the outcome of which decided the person's guilt or innocence. By an ordeal, appeal was made to divine authority to decide the guilt or innocence of one accused of a crime or to  and hopes their daughter's killer will be caught.

In the programme, Mr Hall says: "We now know that she was brutally beaten about the head, tied up in some bin bags and thrown away at the side of the motorway like a crisp packet and our focus now is very much on finding that person or persons responsible for that terrible act."
