Crime star acting up.


BEST-SELLING crime writer Ian Rankin is taking to the stage with songwriter Jackie Leven.

The creator of Edinburgh detective John Rebus is set to perform in three shows in Perth, Kirkcaldy and London.

Ian will give readings and fellow Fifer Jackie will provide the music in a show they first performed in the Edinburgh Festival Edinburgh Festival

International festival of the arts, with an emphasis on music and drama. Founded in 1947 by Rudolf Bing, it is held for three weeks each summer. Its theatrical offerings include plays by major international theatrical companies; plays premiered at the
 last year.

The three new performances are to publicise the release of a CD of the Edinburgh show.

Actor Ken Stott Kenneth Campbell Stott (born 1955) is a Scottish actor, particularly known in the United Kingdom for his many roles in television. Stott was born in Edinburgh to a Scottish father and a Sicilian mother.  is due to begin filming two new feature-length episodes as Rebus later this year.
