and other agencies to target persistent shoplifters, with the aim of reducing anti-social behaviour and criminality.

AABC encourages the sharing of best practice in reducing crime, provides advice and information to ensure partnerships are sustainable and financially sound, develops services and products for partnerships and raises awareness of the crime and disorder problems of business through campaigning.

In particular, it allows businesses to target those persistent offenders who generate the greatest number of crime and disorder problems and, with the support of the police, reduce their chances to offend.

Mr Clarke said: "We are delighted to receive this award and everybody at the park will take great pride in this achievement.

"This award illustrates the park's close working relationship with Cleveland Police, and other recognised crime reduction partnerships, and commitment to its customers to ensure that it is a pleasant, safe and enjoyable environment in which our customers can shop."
