Cricketers banned for Facebook comments; SCANDAL ROCKS LEAGUE.

A FACEBOOK scandal has rocked one of North Wales' top cricket clubs and seen its first team captain banned for life.

Five other players have been disciplined - with three of them banned for the rest of the season - and Llandudno's match against Hawarden Park today has been cancelled with Llandudno forfeiting points.

Llandudno 1st XI captain Steve Captain Steve (foaled 1997 in Kentucky) is an American Thoroughbred racehorse. He was bred by Roger Laubach, owned by Michael E. Pegram, and trained by Bob Baffert. A bay foal by Fly So Free out of Sparkling Delite (by Vice Regent), he started 25 times, and earned the exceptional  Smith has been accused of making unacceptable remarks on the Llandudno Cricket Club's Facebook account.

All the players can appeal. Confidential notes from the North Wales North Wales (known in some archaic texts as Northgalis) is the northernmost unofficial region of Wales, bordered to the south by Mid Wales and to the east by England.  Cricket League's management committee, leaked to the Daily Post, show the committee was told there had been alleged "severe breaches" of its rules against making derogatory remarks about other clubs and players, or league officials.

"In reaching their conclusions the committee were mindful that the views expressed on the Facebook account, were the views of the individuals concerned and were not regarded as the views of the club as a whole and other non-participating members thereof."

The league has given Llandudno CC until June 15 to respond.

In addition to Smith, who is now banned for life, Ajay Dhawan, Jack Rimmington and Elgan Rees Elgan Rees (born January 5 1954) is a former Welsh international rugby union player. In 1980 he toured South Africa with the British Lions and at the time played club rugby for Neath.  Williams were all banned for the rest of the season.

Dhawan is alleged to have made derogatory comments about another player and threatening comments towards another player. Rimmington is alleged to have made derogatory comments about the league chairman and about other clubs and their players. Williams is alleged to have made derogatory comments about other clubs and their players and about umpires.

, are to be severely reprimanded for allegedly making derogatory comments about a member of Llandudno Cricket Club.

Llandudno CC play in the premier division of the seven division North Wales League.
