Cricket: Warne - Selectors have the right balance.

Chairman of selectors David Graveney David Anthony Graveney OBE (born 2 January, 1953 Westbury-on-Trym) is a leading figure in English cricket as the chairman of the England Test selectors since 1997.

He led a successful first-class cricket career between 1972 and 1994.

And Australia spinning legend Warne, now captain of Hampshire, believes it was exactly the right move.

He explained: "If you have got good players they will adapt, no matter what the style of cricket they are playing.

"There have been two or three individuals in county cricket that have done unbelievably well, like Luke Wright."

He continued: "It is good the selectors are selecting, and doing their job. But I am sure Michael Vaughan has a big impact in the selection, if the captain has got a hunch with a player the selectors will listen."
