Cricket: THE STREWTH HURTS; Wobbly Aussies wilt in Indian stunner.

AUSTRALIA'S preparations for this summer's Ashes series This is a list of Ashes cricket series played between Australia and England. Most Ashes series have consisted of five Test matches between the two countries. The Ashes series with the fewest Test matches was the 1887-88 Ashes series, consisting of only one Test.  were thrown into further turmoil after they went down to India by two wickets in Madras yesterday.

Gough said: "I don't think this will make our job any easier this summer. We know Australia are tough to beat, home or away. At least India have shown they are beatable." Off-spinner Harbhajan Singh again proved the thorn in Australia's side, taking eight for 84, to bring his tally to 28 wickets for the last two Tests.
