SUSSEX have been no great shakes in the Twenty20 so far this summer but the 11-10 about a Sharks success at Essex in tonight's live game looks value.

Though the Eagles have the incentive of a potential quarterfinal berth and the benefit of a partisan crowd beneath the Chelmsford lights, they have hardly set the competition's south section on fire themselves.

Middlesex restricted Mark Pettini's men to 115 and 132 and they put in another shocker chasing Kent's 201 on Sunday.

Two wins over stragglers Surrey, in addition to a victory at Hove and a one-run home squeak over the Spitfires, are nothing to shout about when the opposition contains big guns such as Matt Prior, Murray Goodwin, Chris Adams and Dwayne Smith.

Also, James Kirtley is still a limited-overs bowler to be feared at the top and tail of an innings, even if Sussex are missing Mushtaq Ahmed.

Top-bat punters should consider Goodwin at 7-2. The class act has headed the Sussex lists in their last four games and cracked 158 not out on his last 50-over visit to Chelmsford.

Glamorgan, available at 10-11 against out-of-sorts Gloucestershire, look worth a decent wager and not just because of Herschelle Gibbs's imperious 98 in defeat on Sunday.
