CRICKET: Shaun Pollock Shaun Maclean Pollock (born July 16, 1973 in Port Elizabeth) is a South African cricketer who is considered a bowling all-rounder. From 2000 to 2003 he was the captain of the South African cricket team. The Proteas passed the victory target of 231 with more than 12 overs to spare with Pollock adding his runs, which came off 84 balls, to economic bowling figures of one for 37 in his 10 overs.

Younus Khan had earlier hit a quick-fire 82 as Pakistan reached 230 for nine at the close of their innings.

The 29-year-old hit six fours and two sixes before knocking an Andre Nel delivery to Gibbs with his side at 158 for five.
