Cricket: Munton set for top role.


WARWICKSHIRE are expected to appoint their former captain Tim Munton Timothy Alan Munton (born 30 July 1965 in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire) was an English cricketer. He played two Test matches for England in 1992 but struggled to make an impression and was dropped for good thereafter.  as the county's new chairman of cricket at a meeting tomorrow.

The 39-year-old former England seamer has been lined up to succeed former Warwickshire reserve wicketkeeper Jamie McDowall, who has been caretaker chairman of cricket since ex-England opener Andy Lloyd For the English cricketer, see .
