Cricket: Freddie fit to return.


ANDREW FLINTOFF has been passed fit to play in Friday's third match of the one-day series against West Indies West Indies, archipelago, between North and South America, curving c.2,500 mi (4,020 km) from Florida to the coast of Venezuela and separating the Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico from the Atlantic Ocean.  after recovering from his hip injury.

The 31-year-old Lancashire all-rounder sustained the injury during the third Test in Antigua over a month ago and has been having intensive treatment on it ever since, flying home for a week before returning to join the squad at the start of this series.

England now face a decision on who will make way for their talisman with James Anderson and Steve Harmison both excelling in Sunday's 21-run defeat in Guyana, which levelled the five-match series at 1-1, while Stuart Broad was impressive in Friday's opener.

GILES CLARKE hopes participation in women's cricket will mushroom following Sunday's World Cup triumph.
