Cricket: Early tour finish is IPL spur for stars.


ENGLAND's leading players may have the opportunity to join the lucrative Indian Premier League next year following the confirmation of an early finish to their West Indies West Indies, archipelago, between North and South America, curving c.2,500 mi (4,020 km) from Florida to the coast of Venezuela and separating the Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico from the Atlantic Ocean.  tour.

It is a very early finish to the tour compared with 2004, the last time England toured the Caribbean, which did not finish until May 5 following the end of the seven-match one-day series.

This time, England finish a month earlier to give some players the possible chance to play in the IPL, whichmay even be regarded as a good warm-up for the ICC ICC

Next year's itinerary will include their first Twenty20 international in the Caribbean, which is being hosted at the Queen's Park Oval Queen's Park Oval, in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, is the largest cricket ground in the West Indies and has hosted more Test matches than any other ground in the Caribbean. It hosted a number of matches in the 2007 Cricket World Cup.  in Trinidad on March 15, only five days after the scheduled finish of the fourth and final Test at the same venue.

England will begin their preparations for the tour in Barbados, where they will play two three-day practice matches, before Tests in Jamaica, Antigua, Barbados and Trinidad.

Following the Twenty20 international, England will play a five-match one-day international series finishing with a day-night international in St Lucia.

Thu, Jan 29-31: Three-day first class match, Barbados.

Wed, Feb 4-8: First Test, Jamaica.

Thu, Feb 26-Mar 2: Third Test, Barbados.

Fri, Mar 6-10: Fourth Test, Trinidad.

Sat, Mar 14: One-day practice match, Trinidad.

Sun, Mar 15: Twenty20 International, Trinidad.

Fri, Mar 20: 1st ODI, Guyana.

Sun, Mar 22: 2nd ODI, Guyana.

Fri, Mar 27: 3rd ODI, Barbados.

Sun, Mar 29: 4th ODI, Barbados.

Fri, Apr 3: 5th ODI, St Lucia (d/n).
