BOWDON made it four ECB See electronic code book.  Premier Division titles in four seasons when they beat Bramhall by seven wickets, a result which sent the bottom club down.

Gary Yates (born September 20, 1967) was a capable off-spinner who played for Lancashire from 1989 to 2004. He often seemed to be underrated as a 4 day player, and most of his notable appearances came in the OD team.

His consistent team has been spearheaded by Lancashire all rounder Yates, who is in line to finish both the league's top rung etter and wicket- taker. He has 786 runs and 69 wickets.

The race is on for the runners-up spot with Nantwich favourites to repeat their 1997 performance after chalking up victory number 11 by three wickets at home to Oxton, whom weredism issed for 117 (GrahamCashin 49).Barrington Browne returned 6-34 to top 50 wickets for the season.

Nantwich bats men ran into trouble against Oxton's Aussielegspinner Rod Stafford, whose 5 -41 return took him over the halfcentury,but his countryman David Celep (56)and skipper Andy Newton (30) steered theDabbers home.

Nantwich are 15 points ahead of Oulton Park, who also registered victory number 11,by four wickets at home to Didsbury, who declared at 193-9(Jhangir Abbas 63). Oulton's best bowler was Stuart Eaton (4-35), who has assumed the captaincy for the remainder of the season following Andy McIlroy's resignation.

Chester Boughton Hall's fortunes, which have slumped in recent weeks, revived a little with a winning draw at Macclesfield where they ran up 191-9(Matt Griffiths 56,Mark Hillaby 4-61). Macc mustered 133-8(MikeReed 44) when the match was abandoned due to bad light with six overs remaining.

Urmston were well beaten at home by Neston, managing only three points but are not yet down. Neston's first win in seven games was achieved after they had restricted Urmston to 161-8, thanks to Dave Jones taking 5-66. B Thomas scored 74 and Simon Marshall an unbeaten 49 in Neston's rapid response of 164-3 in only 39 overs.

Fresh from his maiden county championship half-century for Lancashire against Surrey's Test bowlers at Old Trafford two days earlier,Mark Currie (44)helped Alderley Edge run up a massive 268-6 against Hyde. Hyde replied with a spirited 252-8(DaveFitsimmons 81,Garry Peacock 77).
