Ford Motor Company was set on fire just after 7pm after it was dumped in the service road, off Maidavale Crescent, Styvechale. Firefighters from Canley quickly brought the blaze under control but were called to the same road two hours later. A Seat Ibiza had been deliberately set on fire, which had spread to a Peugeot 206 van. Both vehicles were wrecked in the blaze. Dave Brown, sub officer at Canley Fire Station, said: "Arsonists are playing a dangerous game. "Car fires can cause serious injury because of the risk of explosions. "This is an area we do not normally associate with this problem. "We have hot spots hot spots acute moist dermatitis. in the city where cars are dumped and torched but this is not one of them." |
