Crew called on to free finger.


Medical staff had to call in the fire brigade when a man arrived in accident and emergency with his finger trapped in a piece of machinery.

Staff at North Tees University Hospital were unable to free the man's finger and called in Stockton firefighters. Rider is injured

AN OFF-ROAD rider suffered head injuries when he came off his machine in Eston. The accident involved a 29-year-old local man and happened on a grassed area near the recreation centre off the A1085 Trunk Road just before 5pm last night . AN inquest was opened and adjourned into the death of retired hospital porter Charles Spruce, 83, of Woodley Grove, Ormesby, who died three days after he was taken to James Cook University Hospital on November 4. His son Stephen Spruce, 53, an engineer, gave evidence of identification at Teesside Coroner's Court.

SPY out real talent

AN INQUEST has been opened and adjourned into the death of factory worker Tracey Kirtland, 34, of Howe Street, Middlesbrough, who was admitted to James Cook University Hospital on November 4 but died on November 7. Denise Bandeira, 42, who lived with her, gave evidence of identification to Teesside Coroners' Court.
