Crew Goalie Presthus Joins The Financial Solutions Network in Dublin.

Columbus Crew goalkeeper Tom Presthus has announced his retirement from professional soccer. At the end of the month, Presthus will trade his soccer shoes for wingtips and become a financial advisor for The Financial Solutions Network LLC (Logical Link Control) See "LANs" under data link protocol.

Recent "Tommy John" (ligament replacement) surgery on his arm prompted Presthus to change careers. Though the delicate surgery went well, the recovery period is lengthy.

Presthus made the all-state soccer team in high school and was a four-year starter in soccer for the SMU Mustangs when he went to school there. After graduating from college in 1997 Presthus joined the D.C. United in Washington, D.C. and made the U.S. National team in 1999. He was traded to The Crew in 2000.
