The new x2 technology increases the speed of modems to the equivalent speed of Integrated Services Digital Network Integrated services digital network (ISDN)

 (ISDN) without the need for expensive new equipment. x2 increases the top speed of a standard 28.8 Kbps to 56 Kbps over standard phone lines, and doubles the speed of downloads for multimedia applications from the Internet.

Cresta Systems joins other early adopters of x2 technology. To date, x2 will be deployed by nearly 40 Internet Service Providers Internet service provider (ISP)
