Crescent announces immediate availability of new OLE component versions of its core products.

:PRGS PRGS Phosphoribosylglycinamide Synthetase ) today announced the immediate availability of the OLE Custom Controls (programming) OLE custom controls - (OCX) An Object Linking and Embedding (OLE) custom control allowing infinite extension of the Microsoft Access control set. OCX is similar in purpose to VBX used in Visual Basic.  (OCX (OLE Control EXtension) A component software technology from Microsoft that enables a Windows program to add functionality by calling ready-made components. Generally called "OLE controls" or "OLE custom controls," they appear to the end user as just another part of ) versions of its core set of products.

These OLE component products support 16-bit and 32-bit programming environments, are compatible with both Visual Basic 4.0 and Windows 95, and provide support for OLE 2.0. Crescent's OLE components will enable corporate developers to build increasingly sophisticated business applications in their language of choice -- Visual Basic.

In addition, Crescent announced that EnQuiry Release 2.0, for Visual Basic Version 4.0, a point and click solution to SQL SQL

o QuickPak Professional -- upgraded to Release 4.0

QuickPak Professional is the most comprehensive toolset of custom controls, subroutines, utilities, and sample code for developing Visual Basic applications. o NetPak Professional upgraded to Release 2.0

NetPak Professional is a comprehensive collection of NetWare and Windows networking A local area network (LAN) made up of Windows clients and servers. Starting with Windows for Workgroups 3.1 in 1992, all versions of Windows have built-in networking.
