Crescent Networks Appoints Gerald W. Wesel as President and CEO; Former Lucent Executive Takes the Helm to Lead the Rapid Growth of Start-up Company.

Crescent Networks today announced the appointment of Gerald W. Wesel as President and Chief Executive Officer. Jerry has over 28 years of sales, marketing, business development, systems engineering and customer service experience and will be responsible for all the operational facets and overall business development for the company.

Jerry comes to Crescent Networks from Lucent Technologies, where he served as a vice president in its Enterprise Internetworking Systems and, before that, as president and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of Agile Networks - a wholly owned Lucent subsidiary. Jerry was a founder of Agile Networks and took that company to successful acquisition by Lucent Technologies in 1996, the very first of many acquisitions done by the company.
