In honoring Crescent Heights, the judges considered overall quality of the company's recent projects; success in achieving the company's visions and goals; financial performance; innovative development strategies and practices; and a demonstrated ability to overcome obstacles.

Crescent Heights began as a real estate development firm in the late 1980s in the South Beach neighborhood of Miami, where it pioneered large-scale residential development.

In the mid 1990s, the company made waves with the first office-to-condo conversion on Wall Street in New York City. The company currently has 20 ongoing projects, and has converted more than 35 apartments and offices to condo ownership properties in 20 cities. It is now the nation's largest condominium condominium
