"It has all the facilities you could want. Construction of a seven-furlong wood-chip all-weather gallop should be finished in the next fortnight, there are also grass gallops that are being organised at the moment, and we have the promise of horses from a good few people around. I can't wait to get in and start working there."

 has not yet carried out an on-site inspection, but the development, financed by businessman John Griffin, an owner with Creighton, is expected to be completed in time for him to take up residence next month.

Creighton has a team of around 16 in separate premises at Highwood Lodge, from where Michael Scudamore has applied to run a satellite yard.

"We'll be looking to build up a good string of Flat horses over the winter, with the aiming of filling all the boxes," adds Creighton, who will be signing a four-year lease. "I can see only good things coming out of the move, and hopefully it will enable my career to move up to another level."
