I HAVE to admit I was quite impressed by the quality of The Willows last Friday night.

Before making the trip to Salford, I'd heard all these horror stories about how bad the stadium was, so it actually came as a bit of a pleasant surprise when I saw it for myself.

The playing surface, in particular, was excellent, and I enjoyed all the signing and shouting from the home fans in their popular stand.

From what I could tell, most of their 'unfriendly' chants were directed towards referee A judicial officer who presides over civil hearings but usually does not have the authority or power to render judgment.

Referees are usually appointed by a judge in the district in which the judge presides.

Personally, I thought he had a pretty good game and appeared to referee the sides exactly the same, which is all you can ask of the man in the middle.

To be honest, for such a young referee, I'm very impressed with him.

He always talks to you and is very fair in the decisions he makes.

I know he does have his critics - Hull KR coach Justin Morgan Justin Morgan, 1792–1821, American horse, the foundation sire of the Justin Morgan breed of horses. Originally called "Figure," the stallion was renamed for his first owner, Justin Morgan (1747–97), after both owner and horse were dead.  for one! - but, as far as I'm concerned, he's right up there.
