Before making the trip to Salford, I'd heard all these horror stories about how bad the stadium was, so it actually came as a bit of a pleasant surprise when I saw it for myself. The playing surface, in particular, was excellent, and I enjoyed all the signing and shouting from the home fans in their popular stand.
