CJP said this while addressing meeting of National Judicial Policy Making Committee (NJPMC) here Saturday. The matters related to increase in salaries of judges, judicial staff, pace of disposal of cases, establishment of federal court, effective implementation of law against illegal occupation of property, expansion in the buildings of subordinate courts and construction of new jail in Islamabad came under discussion in the meeting. Chief justices of all the four provincial high courts and federal law secretary attended the meeting. The CJP underlined incumbent judiciary was for the people and it was sitting here to redress the grievances of people. I will soon come to Lahore to hear the cases, he added. Earlier the proposals put forth with regard to judicial policy were reviewed in the meeting. CJP will address the lawyers during his fist visit to Lahore after his restoration.
