 Wealth Management Advisory Council, an industry group dedicated to promoting the practice of wealth management, today announced that Credit Suisse The Credit Suisse Group (SWX:CSGN, NYSE: CS) is a financial services company, headquartered in Zürich, Switzerland.  Dain Rauscher and the Ferrucci Company have joined the Council. The Council also announced that it unanimously established its priorities at its inaugural meeting.

The new Council members are:

--George J. Schietinger, Director and Senior Relationship Manager, Credit Suisse Private Banking USA

--James A. Covell, Senior Vice President and Financial Consultant, RBC Dain Rauscher

--David L. Ferrucci, Managing Partner, The Ferrucci Company

Dennis Gallant, Principal, Gallant Distribution Consulting, will also be joining the council as a research consultant.

They join Council members announced on November 15, 2005:

--Michael Sawyer, CIMA, Managing Director, Senior Private Wealth Management Advisor, Smith Barney Citigroup

The Council also announced that at its recently-held inaugural meeting it voted to establish a definition of "wealth management" for the financial advisory community, identify and promote best practices, serve as an informational resource for practitioners, develop a code of conduct and promote wealth management as a career choice.

In the area of public education, the Council agreed to focus on raising consumer awareness about the practice of wealth management, including its approach and value for clients.

The council will hold its next meeting in early fall.
