Credit Lyonnais Americas appoints new chief executive officer in New York.


NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 22, 1997--Credit Lyonnais today announced that it has named Jerome Brunel chief executive officer of Credit Lyonnais Americas.

With combined assets in excess of $43 billion, Credit Lyonnais Americas encompasses all the bank's operations in the United States, Canada and Latin America. Mr. Brunel will assume his position on March 1, 1997.

He joined Credit Lyonnais in 1990 as manager of a French network corporate banking group and took up his post in Hong Kong in 1994. From 1980 to 1990, Mr. Brunel held several posts in France's Ministries of the Interior and Health.
