Net income for the second quarter rose 50% to $6.8 million compared to $4.5 million for the comparable period last year. Earnings per share were $0.50 per share, up from the $0.35 per share for the prior year's second quarter.

For the six-month period ended April 30, 1995, net sales were $77.2 million, compared to $55.5 million for the same period a year ago, a 39% increase. Net income for the six-month period rose 49% to $12.8 million, $0.94 per share, compared to $8.6 million, $0.67 per share, for the same period last year.
