systems and PCs. These two new products further strengthen Credence's portfolio of logic test products and provide even lower cost-of-test solutions for the consumer entertainment device market.

"We have delivered these products in response to our customers' needs for high-volume production test at the lowest possible cost. This need is especially relevant in the consumer entertainment market where the price of chipsets is being driven down at a rapid pace," said Dr. Graham Siddall, president and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. "We are offering new solutions on both the Quartet and ValStar product lines so that our customers can leverage their existing installed system capacity. Additionally, we have multiple system orders for both products."

The Quartet Logic is a 512-pin, 100 MHz (MegaHertZ) One million cycles per second. It is used to measure the transmission speed of electronic devices, including channels, buses and the computer's internal clock. A one-megahertz clock (1 MHz) means some number of bits (16, 32, 64, etc.  system with +/- 225ps accuracy. It is available in a small two-bay foot-print that is particularly well suited for wafer sort applications where floor space is expensive and limited.

The VS 1000 is a 1024-pin, 100 MHz system with +/- 250ps accuracy. The 1024 pin capability of this system makes it particularly well-suited to multi-site testing of logic devices to further reduce the cost of test.

About the Quartet Series
