"We are extremely satisfied with our second quarter results," said Frank Khulusi, chairman and chief executive officer. Net sales Net Sales The amount a seller receives from the buyer after costs associated with the sale are deducted. Net income grew by $2.33 million, increasing from a net loss of ($453,000) for the quarter ended June 30, 1994, to $1.88 million for the quarter ended June 30, 1995. Net income of $0.20 per share for the second quarter of 1995, compared with a loss of ($0.07) per share in the second quarter of 1994, while shares outstanding increased from 6.98 million to 9.3 million as a result of Creative's initial public offering completed on April 3, 1995. "During the quarter we met our goals of improving our gross margin, increasing our corporate sales and software sales, and improving the leverage in our selling, general and administrative expenses," Khulusi said. "We are also pleased with the successful launch of our PC Mall catalog catalog, descriptive list, on cards or in a book, of the contents of a library.
