for the quarter ended June 30, 1995 reached $82.7 million, a 186% increase over net sales of $28.9 million for the comparable quarter in 1994. Mail order/catalog net sales reflected an even greater increase of $269% from $18.5 million in the second quarter last year to $68.2 million for the second quarter of 1995. Net income grew by $2.33 million, increasing from a net loss of ($453,000) for the quarter ended June 30, 1994, to $1.88 million for the quarter ended June 30, 1995. Net income of $0.20 per share for the second quarter of 1995, compared with a loss of ($0.07) per share in the second quarter of 1994, while shares outstanding increased from 6.98 million to 9.3 million as a result of Creative's initial public offering completed on April 3, 1995.

"During the quarter we met our goals of improving our gross margin, increasing our corporate sales and software sales, and improving the leverage in our selling, general and administrative expenses," Khulusi said. "We are also pleased with the successful launch of our PC Mall catalog catalog, descriptive list, on cards or in a book, of the contents of a library. Assurbanipal's library at Nineveh was cataloged on shelves of slate. The first known subject catalog was compiled by Callimachus at the Alexandrian Library in the 3d cent. B.C.  in May."

For the first six months of 1995, net sales increased 235% from $51.0 million in the first six months of 1994, to $170.8 million. Net income was approximately ap·prox·i·mate

Approximately 12.9 million catalogs were mailed during the period ended June 30, 1995, including 3.75 million just prior to the end of the current quarter. The bulk of sales from the 3.75 million catalogs will be recorded in July July: see month.  1995.

The company's gross margin percentage was 14.35%, compared with 14.0% in the first quarter of this year, and 14.1% for the comparable quarter in the prior year. Gross margin for the quarter improved due to increased buying power Buying Power
