Creative Computers' Distribution Center Move Over 50 Percent Complete.


TORRANCE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 6, 1995--Creative Computers, Inc. ("Creative") (Nasdaq:MALL) is now shipping over 50 percent of its orders directly from its new warehouse and distribution facility in Memphis, Tennessee For the ancient Egyptian capital, see .

Memphis is a city in the southwest corner of Tennessee, and the county seat of Shelby County. Memphis rises above the Mississippi River on the 4th Chickasaw Bluff just below the mouth of the Wolf River.

 hub in Memphis, Tennessee is designed to accommodate the Company's rapid growth and to improve customer service with extended hours for overnight delivery of orders. The relocation is expected to be substantially completed in January 1996.

When completed, the transition to the new 220,000 square-foot Memphis facility is expected to provide Creative with additional benefits, including lower shipping costs and close proximity to several major vendors for rapid product transfer. The new facility has a total of 325,000 square feet of warehouse space, more than triple the Company's Torrance warehouse space. The final 105,000 square feet become available to the Company in May 1997.

Creative Computers is a direct marketer of personal computer hardware, software and peripheral products for users of Apple Macintosh Apple Macintosh - Macintosh  and DOS/Windows personal computers.
