Creative Computer Applications Inc. Announces the Release of Its New CyberRAD Radiology Information System and an Important New Contract.CALABASAS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 26, 1999-- Creative Computer Applications Inc. (AMEX AMEX See: American Stock Exchange :CAP), a provider of Clinical Information Systems for hospital- and clinic-based radiology imaging centers, laboratories and pharmacies, Monday announced the release of its new radiology information system A Radiology Information System (RIS) is used by radiology departments to store, manipulate and distribute patient radiological data and imagery. The system generally consists of patient tracking and scheduling, result reporting and image tracking capabilities. , CyberRAD(R). The company also announced the award of a major contract for the provision of CyberRAD(R) to West Florida Medical Center Clinic, PA, a Phycor affiliate. The CyberRAD(R) Radiology Information System has been chosen by West Florida as the core information system element in the clinic's multimillion dollar expansion program for its diagnostic imaging activities. West Florida is composed of eight separate imaging centers, all of which will access a central database, fully utilizing CyberRAD(R)'s multisite client/server architecture. CyberRAD(R) will be central to directing the information flow to and from digital radiography, the PACs system, mammography mammography, diagnostic procedure that uses low-dose X rays to detect abnormalities in the breasts.
