The testing was completed at Ericsson's Berkeley Wireless Center, which features a GPRS emulation (architecture) emulation - When one system performs in exactly the same way as another, though perhaps not at the same speed. A typical example would be emulation of one computer by (a program running on) another.  test environment, a live GPRS network, private developer studios, highly skilled personnel and a Mobile Internet Studio.

In the future, the center will provide services to help developers optimize their applications for other 3G technologies, including EDGE (Enhanced Data Rates for Global Evolution), cdma2000 and WCDMA (Wideband CDMA) A 3G high-speed digital data service provided by cellular carriers that use the TDMA or GSM technology worldwide, including AT&T (formerly Cingular) and T-Mobile in the U.S.  (Wideband CDMA).
