Crazy spud bashing.

I can pull a lettuce or potatoes out of my garden and put them in the green bin, but I am forbidden to put potato peelings or waste lettuce leaves in it. Whoever on Redcar & Cleveland thought this up needs to think again.

Encourage fly-tipping, oh never says Redcar & Cleveland Council, we'll just refuse to allow residents who have specifically bought trailers (so they keep their cars clean) to convey their extensive amount of garden rubbish (three large lawns, loads of trees and bushes, to say nothing of the weeds) to visit the tip on more than six occasions annually so now they have to keep large bags of rubbish on their premises. Isn't this a health hazard?

In this specific case, the residents I speak of also assisted their respective widowed mothers and octogenarian aunt to take their rubbish to the tip - not now.

So the unfit mother and the elderly aunt have to convey the debris themselves, or tip it in the back of a hedge.

Good for you, Redcar & Cleveland Council, you have saved the environment.
