Cray Inc. Ranked Third Fastest Growing Technology Company in North America on the 2002 Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 500.

SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 16, 2002

Global supercomputer leader Cray Inc. (Nasdaq:CRAY) today announced that it ranked number three on the 2002 Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 500, a ranking of the 500 fastest-growing technology companies in North America North America, third largest continent (1990 est. pop. 365,000,000), c.9,400,000 sq mi (24,346,000 sq km), the northern of the two continents of the Western Hemisphere. .

Rankings are based on percentage revenue growth over five years, from 1997-2001. Cray grew 180,450 percent during this period.
