Crash escape.


A child escaped unhurt after an accident between a lorry and a car.

The youngster was in a child seat in the back of a Renault Clio when it was in collision with a lorry on Holystone ho·ly·stone

Firefighters cut open the door of the Renault to free the driver.

He was taken to North Tyneside Hospital with a broken arm. The child was not hurt but taken to hospital as a precaution.

The 55-year-old driver of the lorry did not need hospital treatment.

Police closed the road and diverted traffic while emergency services emergency services Emergency care '…services …necessary to prevent death or serious impairment of health and, because of the danger to life or health, require the use of the most accessible hospital available and equipped to furnish those services'  dealt with the accident.
