Crash biker fights for life.


A MOTORCYCLIST is fighting for life after a road smash.

The 24-year-old from the Gateshead area, was following a bus on his Honda XLR XLR X-linked lymphocyte regulated

, going south along Derwent Street, Chopwell, Gateshead, when the accident happened.

As the bus turned right into the bus station, the rider tried to overtake o·ver·take

He was thrown from his bike. He was taken to Newcastle General Hospital for treatment. His condition is described as "critical but stable".

The bus driver and the one passenger were unhurt.

The road was closed for three hours after the accident as police investigated.
