Crammed in but great fun; REVIEWS TASTE OF CHAOS Carling Academy Birmingham.Byline: SALLY WOODWARD THE surprising aspect of this Atreyu-topping six-band line-up was that it didn't warrant a place on the Academy's main stage. Despite the Orange County alt-metallers' rising stock on the back of current album Lead Sails Paper Anchor, not to mention the presence of Story of the Year and As I Lay Dying on the same bill, it was a shock to see punters crammed cram v. crammed, cram·ming, crams v.tr. 1. To force, press, or squeeze into an insufficient space; stuff. 2. To fill too tightly. 3. a. To gorge with food. into the far smaller venue upstairs. Not that it seemed to spoil the enjoyment for a sell-out crowd who, from the moment Alex Varkatzas launched the band into Slow Burn, threw themselves into the moment. Varkatzas, who was forced to pull out of a couple of shows due to a throat infection, had the odd wobble wobble /wob·ble/ (wob´'l) to move unsteadily or unsurely back and forth or from side to side.
