Wildstar/Atlantic Records has announced the release today of "SLICKER THAN YOUR AVERAGE," the eagerly awaited second album from Craig David. The critically acclaimed collection -- which features the hit single "What's Your Flava?" -- follows the U.K.-based vocalist/songwriter's 2001 RIAA platinum-selling debut, "BORN TO DO IT," which has now scanned 1.5 million copies in the U.S. alone.

"What's Your Flava?" is already looking like another major crossover hit for the 21-year-old David. The cyber-funky track is rapidly bulleting up the charts at a variety of radio formats, including Top 40 Mainstream and Top 40 Rhythmic. Along with its success at radio, "What's Your Flava?" is scoring at video outlets coast-to-coast. The song's captivating companion video -- directed by Little X (Sean Paul, Alicia Keys, Destiny's Child) -- is currently in rotation at BET, MTV, VH1, and MTV2.

On "SLICKER THAN YOUR AVERAGE," David once again combines elements of R&B, hip-hop, pop, electronica, and rock into his own innovative, effervescent sound. The album finds David working with such groundbreaking producers as Marshall and Trell (known for their remix work under the Ignorants moniker), Soulshock & Karlin (hailed by Arena magazine as "probably the best R&B producers in the world"), and Craig's longtime studio collaborator Mark Hill. Among the album's highlights is David's collaboration with Sting on the track, "Rise & Fall" -- an introspective cautionary tale about the pitfalls of stardom.
