Boro almost made the breakthrough within seconds of the restart when Lee Cattermole hit the post with a low drive. But Boro broke through in 49 minutes following a superb run from Jason Kennedy, who set up Craddock for a tap-in. Ten minutes later Christophe Lemaire, Craddock and Graham combined for Johnson to score. James Sinclair reduced the arrears but Boro completed the scoring when Craddock finished off a through ball from Jonathan Grounds. There were several fine performances, Kennedy impressing in midfield and Seb Hines and David Wheater strong in defence.
