Katherine Rae Cox and Marcus Wayne Moody were married on February 2, in the Chapel of Second Presbyterian Church Second Presbyterian Church is a landmark church located on South Michigan Avenue in Chicago, Illinois, U.S. The church was built in 1874 by James Renwirk, and when fire destroyed much of it in 1900, Howard Van Doren Shaw rebuilt the church.  in Memphis, Tennessee. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Richard Cox of Memphis. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dan A. Moody of Alpharetta, Georgia.

Grandparents of the bride are Mr. Cornelius Henry Block and the late Mrs. Block and Mrs. James Agustus Cox and the late Mr. Cox, all of Tunica tunica /tu·ni·ca/ (too´ni-kah) pl. tu´nicae   [L.] a tunic; in anatomy, a general term for a membrane or other structure covering or lining a body part or organ. . The bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. And Mrs. Robert Vahlberg of Oklahoma City, and the late Wayne and Pauline Moody of Tulsa.

Rev. W. Lawrence Ferris, Jr. and Rev. Ronald G. Sadlow officiated at the double-ring ceremony. The wedding music was presented by Roger W. Lowther, organist, and Shelly Sublett, oboe oboe (ō`bō, ō`boi) [Ital., from Fr. hautbois] or hautboy (ō`boi, hō`–), woodwind instrument of conical bore, its mouthpiece having a double reed. .

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore her grandmother's wedding gown, vintage 1946. The antique satin gown featured a basque bodice with long fitted sleeves with stacked buttons and an off-the-shoulder neckline neckline

The line that connects the two lowest points on the intermediate declines of a head-and-shoulders chart pattern. In an inverted head-and-shoulders formation, the neckline connects the two intermediate tops.

Kimberly Marie Cox, cousin of the bride, served as guest book attendant, and program attendants were Samuel Frederick Linder and Wilson Nicholas Linder.

Following the ceremony, the bride's parents hosted a reception at the Memphis Pink Palace Museum, where the music was provided by Solid Gold.
