Cox Interactive Media Names New General Manager for Seattle Internet Studio.

Kevin Stephens to replace Bateman at ActiveDayton.com

Cox Interactive Media (CIMedia), the most popular network of local sites on the Internet, announced today that it has named Scott Bateman, former city site manager of ActiveDayton.com (www.activedayton.com), as general manager of its Seattle Studio.

In related news, CIMedia announced today that Kevin Stephens will join CIMedia as city site manager in Dayton.

An industry veteran, Bateman spent 10 years at Cox Ohio Publishing as an editor and new media executive before joining Cox Interactive Media in 1996. Bateman was the creator and project manager for FASTBALL.com (www.fastball.com) CIMedia's award-winning baseball site. Subsequently, he led ActiveDayton.com to become one of CIMedia's most successful city sites. Bateman holds a B.S. in Journalism from Bowling Green State University Bowling Green State University, at Bowling Green, Ohio; coeducational; chartered 1910 as a normal school, opened 1914. It became a college in 1929, a university in 1935. .

Kevin Stephens, who will join CIMedia as ActiveDayton.com city site manager, will replace Bateman in Dayton. A Dayton native, Stephens brings a wealth of communications and business management experience to CIMedia. Formerly with Reynolds and Reynolds in Dayton, Stephens most recently served as marketing communications Marketing communications (or marcom) are messages and related media used to communicate with a market.
