Cox Communications deploys Intergraph's FRAMME and CF Design.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 17, 1997--One of the largest cable television (CATV) operators in the U.S. has selected software, hardware and services from Intergraph to meet growth demands posed by the dynamic CATV market.

Cox Communications (Atlanta) has signed a $2.7 million contract to include the purchase of FRAMME(TM), FRAMME Field View and CF (Coax/Fiber) design software, InterServe servers, 30 dual-screen TD-310 workstations and various development, rulebase design, data migration, implementation and project management services.

Cox Communications will use the systems to design, manage and expand services in its CATV systems across the country, serving more than 3.2 million customers. The Intergraph software runs on the Microsoft Windows NT(R) operating system and utilizes an Oracle(R) relational database.

The significant investment is the culmination of a pilot project in which Intergraph products met and exceeded Cox Communication's requirements.
