Cox Communications San Diego, Motorola Donate Truckloads of Much-Needed Water for Cox New Orleans Hurricane Victims; Friday, September 23 at 11 a.m.

WHAT: Cox Communications employees in San Diego and Motorola have
partnered to donate truckloads of much-needed bottled water that
will leave today for Cox Communications in New Orleans, where
nearly 1,000 Cox employees have been affected.

In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, and as Hurricane Rita
approaches the Gulf Coast, thousands of Cox employees and
customers in the region are still in desperate need of water as
they attempt to rebuild their city and their lives, and Cox
employees in San Diego continue to answer the call for help.

Cox Communications has also received water donations from
Coca-Cola, which distributes Dasani bottled water. Motorola, a
vendor and community partner of Cox Communications, has made two
53-foot semi-trucks available for the transportation of the
water donated by Cox employees in San Diego.

WHEN: Trucks will be loaded at 11 a.m., Friday, September 23, 2005

WHERE: Cox Communications, 5159 Federal Blvd., San Diego
(From I-805, take 94-East, exit North Euclid Ave. Turn right at
       Federal Blvd.)

WHY: With thousands of employees and customers in the Gulf Coast
region including New Orleans, Cox Communications is doing all it
can to help the cities and their citizens rebuild their
communities and their lives. To date, Cox Communications' parent
company, Cox Enterprises, Inc., has contributed $10 million in
cash and in-kind donations to the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
In addition, the company will match, dollar-for-dollar, donations
made by employees to its disaster-relief fund, which has already
     raised half a million dollars.
